Caliplaces Advertising Terms
Effective Date: October 24, 2026
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Advertising Terms (the "Ad Terms") govern advertising on Caliplaces: the advertiser dashboard at business.caliplaces.com, advertiser accounts, campaigns, ad credit and the display of ads in the Caliplaces apps and website. They are an agreement between you and Caliplaces s.r.o., IČO 23311207, with its registered office at Uralská 689/7, Bubeneč (Praha 6), 160 00 Praha ("Caliplaces", "we", "us").
You accept the Ad Terms when you create an advertiser account, submit a campaign or buy ad credit. If you act on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you may bind it, and "you" means that organisation.
The Caliplaces Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy also apply to your Caliplaces account. Where they conflict with the Ad Terms on advertising, the Ad Terms prevail.
2. Definitions
- Campaign: an ad, its schedule, budget, bid, placements and audience, set up in the dashboard.
- Creative: the content of an ad, such as its title, text, images, colours, button and link.
- Placement: where an ad can appear, such as the home screen or the screen of a specific place.
- Impression: one display of an ad to a user, as recorded by our systems.
- Click: one tap on an ad that opens its link, as recorded by our systems.
- Ad Credit: the prepaid balance that campaigns spend from, held in euros. It is made up of paid credit (bought by you) and promotional credit (granted by us, including launch credit).
- Consumer: an individual acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
3. Advertiser Account
- Your advertiser profile (name, logo, website and description) is shown to users with your ads. It must identify you truthfully and must not impersonate anyone.
- Your billing details (legal name, address, country and, where you have one, VAT number) must be accurate. Invoices are issued to the details saved when you buy credit.
- We may verify your identity or business before or after your ads run. Changes to a verified profile may be reviewed again before they are shown.
- You are responsible for everything done in your advertiser account. Keep access to your Caliplaces account secure.
4. Campaigns and Review
- Every new campaign is reviewed before it runs. We may approve it, ask for changes or reject it, and we tell you the reason when we reject it.
- When you change the creative of a running campaign, the approved version keeps running until we have reviewed the change. Budget, schedule, bid and audience changes apply right away.
- Approval means only that the campaign may run. It does not mean we have checked that it is lawful, and it does not move your responsibility for the ad to us.
- We decide where and how often ads are shown. When several campaigns compete for the same placement, ads are shown in proportion to their bids. We do not guarantee any number of impressions, clicks or results.
- You may pause, resume or archive your campaigns in the dashboard at any time.
5. Pricing, Bids and Budgets
- Pricing models. You choose how a campaign is charged: per click, per 1,000 impressions, or a daily rate for each day the ad is shown. You set the price as your bid. The minimum bids and budgets are shown in the dashboard and may change; a change applies to campaigns submitted afterwards.
- What you pay. A campaign is charged its bid for each valid click or each 1,000 valid impressions, or its daily rate for each day it is shown. Spend is taken from your Ad Credit as it occurs and is shown in the dashboard.
- Budgets. A campaign stops when it reaches its total budget or its end date. Because spend is recorded as it happens, a campaign can go slightly over its budget before it stops.
- Taxes. Prices and bids are shown without VAT. Caliplaces s.r.o. is currently not registered as a VAT payer, so no VAT is added. For businesses in another EU member state with a valid VAT number, the reverse-charge mechanism applies and the invoice says so. If we register for VAT, VAT will be added where it applies and shown at checkout.
6. Prepaid Credit and Payment
- Buying credit. Ad Credit is bought in advance through Stripe in the dashboard, in whole euros from €50 to €5,000 per purchase. You receive an invoice for every purchase.
- Running out. Campaigns stop serving when your Ad Credit runs out and start again when you add credit. Clicks on ads shown just before the credit ran out can take your paid credit slightly below zero; the next purchase covers the difference.
- Order of use. Promotional credit is spent before paid credit, and launch credit before other promotional credit.
- Nature of credit. Ad Credit is a prepayment for advertising. It is not money, carries no interest, cannot be transferred to another account and can be paid out only as described in Section 8.
- Alerts. We email you when your credit runs low and when it runs out. These emails are a courtesy; keeping enough credit for your campaigns is your responsibility.
- Chargebacks. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the matching paid credit is withdrawn, together with launch credit as described in Section 7. Credit already spent can leave your paid balance below zero.
7. Launch Credit and Promotional Credit
- Launch credit. Your first paid purchase of Ad Credit is matched with promotional credit of the same amount, up to €50. Launch credit is valid for 60 days from that purchase and pays only for spend that occurs before it expires. Whatever is left then expires.
- Other promotional credit. We may grant other promotional credit, for example as a goodwill gesture. Unless we say otherwise when granting it, it does not expire.
- No cash value. Promotional credit, including launch credit, is never refunded or paid out.
- Refunds and disputes. If the purchase that earned launch credit is partly refunded, the same share of the launch credit is withdrawn. If it is fully refunded or disputed, all of it is withdrawn. Only launch credit that has not been spent is withdrawn.
- We may end or change promotional offers at any time; credit already granted keeps its terms.
8. Refunds
You may ask us to refund the paid Ad Credit you have not spent by writing to support@caliplaces.com. We refund it to the original payment method within 14 days, after any running campaigns have been stopped and their spend has been recorded. Spent credit and promotional credit are not refunded. Refunding a purchase withdraws its launch credit as described in Section 7.
9. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers
If you are a Consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from a purchase of Ad Credit within 14 days of the purchase without giving a reason, by writing to support@caliplaces.com.
Ad Credit is available as soon as the payment is confirmed. When you buy credit, you expressly ask us to start providing the service within the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for the part of the service already provided. If you withdraw, we refund the paid credit from that purchase that you have not spent, within 14 days and using the same payment method.
10. Measurement and Invalid Activity
- Impressions, clicks and spend are measured by our systems, and our records are the basis for charges. Statistics in the dashboard can be delayed by a few minutes.
- We filter activity we consider invalid, such as repeated clicks, automated traffic, clicks without a matching impression or activity from abusive sources, and we do not charge for it. If we find invalid activity after you were charged, we return the matching credit.
- If you believe a charge is wrong, tell us within 30 days of the spend at support@caliplaces.com. We review it and return credit for charges that were wrong.
- You must not generate impressions or clicks on your own or a competitor's ads, or ask others to do so.
11. Ad Content and Landing Pages
You are responsible for your ads and the pages they link to. Your ads must:
- Comply with applicable law, including advertising, consumer protection and intellectual property law;
- Be truthful, clearly identify you as the advertiser and not mislead about the product, its price or its effects;
- Link over https to a page that works, matches the ad and is operated by you or with your permission;
- Use only content you own or are licensed to use, including images, logos, music, video and trademarks;
- Respect the people shown in them, who must have agreed to appear in the ad.
We do not accept ads for:
- Gambling and betting, tobacco and nicotine products, alcohol, weapons and ammunition, or adult content;
- Prescription medicines, anabolic steroids or other performance-enhancing substances, or health claims that are not permitted by law;
- Financial products promising returns, cryptocurrency offerings, or get-rich-quick schemes;
- Political parties, candidates, elections or referendums, or issue-based political advertising;
- Counterfeit goods, illegal products or services, or anything that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy;
- Content that discriminates, harasses, shocks or is otherwise unsuitable for a sports community app.
Supplements, sports nutrition and similar products may be advertised only with claims that are permitted by law. We may refuse any ad that we believe does not fit Caliplaces, even if it is lawful.
12. Transparency and Targeting
- Every ad is marked as an ad and shows your advertiser name. Users can see why they were shown an ad, including the main targeting parameters used, as required by the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065).
- You may target only with the options offered in the dashboard, such as country, app language, training level, platform and area. Ads are never targeted using special categories of personal data (such as health, religion, ethnicity or sexual orientation).
- We may restrict targeting or the ads shown to particular users where the law requires it, including for users we know to be minors.
- Users can report ads they believe are illegal through the DSA Notice & Action Policy. We may remove an ad following such a report and tell you why.
13. Personal Data
We give you aggregated campaign statistics only, such as impressions and clicks by day, country, device and place. We never give you the identity of the users who saw or clicked your ads. When a user opens your link, what happens on your page is your responsibility as an independent controller under the GDPR. How we process personal data, including yours as an advertiser, is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Rejection, Suspension and Termination
We may reject, pause or remove an ad, or suspend a campaign or advertiser account, if it breaches the Ad Terms or the law, if we receive a credible report that it does, or if it harms our users or Caliplaces. We tell you the reason, unless the law prevents it, and you may reply to ask us to reconsider. Spend recorded before a suspension is charged.
You may close your advertiser account at any time and ask for a refund of unspent paid credit under Section 8. We may end the Ad Terms or stop offering advertising with at least 30 days' notice. If we do so without you being in breach, we refund your unspent paid credit. If we end the Ad Terms because you seriously breached them, paid credit is refunded only to the extent required by law.
15. Licence to Your Ad Content
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, crop, re-encode and display your creatives and advertiser profile for the purpose of running and reviewing your campaigns, showing ads in the Caliplaces apps and website, and keeping records required by law. The licence ends when your campaigns end, except for copies we must keep by law. You keep all rights in your content.
16. Disclaimers
We provide advertising on Caliplaces as available. We do not guarantee that ads will be shown at particular times or places, that the service will be uninterrupted, or any reach, engagement or sales. To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties beyond those set out in the Ad Terms.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Ad Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for Ad Credit in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €100 if that is higher. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost profits or lost data.
These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to injury to life or health, or to any liability that cannot be limited by law, and they do not affect the mandatory rights of Consumers.
18. Indemnity
If you advertise in the course of a business, you will compensate Caliplaces for claims by third parties arising from your ads, your landing pages or your breach of the Ad Terms, including fines imposed because of your content and reasonable legal costs. This section does not apply to Consumers.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may change the Ad Terms. We announce material changes by email to the address of your Caliplaces account at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may stop advertising before then and we refund your unspent paid credit on request. Continuing to advertise after the effective date means you accept the change.
20. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The Ad Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. The courts of Prague have jurisdiction over disputes with businesses. If you are a Consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
Consumers may also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz) for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes.
